Sustainability of public-private partnerships at the European Police Congress 2024

Work was in full swing over the recent weeks on the presentation we delivered at the European Police Congress on 16-17 April 2024 in Berlin. Richard and Baxi were members of the panel that explored sustainability of public-private partnerships in public security. They shared their expertise in mixing the physical & social strategies for sustainable urban security and explained why stakeholder engagement doesn’t always work.

The European Police Congress is an international congress for decision-makers from the police, security authorities and industry. The aim is to strengthen the dialog between authorities and enable participants to make new contacts with colleagues from all over the world.

Each year, the conference is a meeting place for nearly 2000 experts from more than 20 countries. Representatives from politics, border protection, intelligence services as well as governments, parliaments and industries take part in the conference.

Since 2003, critical discussions are held on current topics and the latest technological developments for use in the security sector are presented.

The European Police Congress is the largest conference for internal security in the European Union.
